Typemark is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your documents are processed entirely on your Mac and are never sent to any external server. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or document content.

1. Information We Collect

Typemark collects no personal information by default. The app does not require an account, login, or any form of registration.

If you explicitly enable crash reporting in Settings > Privacy, anonymous crash data may be collected to help diagnose and fix bugs. This data includes:

Crash reports never include document content, file names, file paths, or any personally identifiable information.

2. Bug Reports

When you use Help > Report a Bug, the following data is sent via HTTPS to our server:

Reports are only sent when you explicitly click Submit — no data is collected automatically or in the background.

The report is transmitted via HTTPS to a Cloudflare Worker, which immediately forwards it as an email. No report data is stored on Cloudflare. The resulting email is stored by All-Inkl (Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany), an EU-based hosting provider subject to GDPR.

Bug reports never include document content, file names, or file paths unless you explicitly type or attach them yourself.

3. Local Processing

All PDF editing, annotation, text extraction, form filling, digital signatures, redaction, and other operations are performed entirely on your device. No document data is transmitted to any server.

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) uses Apple's Vision framework, which runs fully on-device. No text or image data is sent to Apple or any third party during OCR processing.

4. iCloud Sync

If you choose to store documents in iCloud Drive, files are synced through your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. Typemark does not operate or have access to any iCloud servers. This sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

Typemark does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain any third-party SDKs that collect user data.

The only external frameworks used are Apple's own system frameworks (PDFKit, Vision, SwiftUI), which operate under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Bug reports (see Section 2) are transmitted through a Cloudflare Worker, which acts solely as a relay and does not store report data. The resulting email is stored by All-Inkl, an EU-based provider subject to GDPR.

6. Data Storage

All application preferences are stored locally on your Mac using macOS standard UserDefaults. Document files remain wherever you choose to save them on your file system.

Typemark does not maintain any external database or cloud storage of user data.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to share.

8. Children's Privacy

Typemark does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Typemark after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
